PH monitoring :

Dissolution pH monitoring and controlling system for Agilent 708-DS Dissolution Apparatus

Overview :

  • The pH monitoring unit consists of 6 or 8 high-quality pH electrodes with extended cables. It is also possible to use the ion-selective electrodes if the measurements of ionic concentration in an aqueous solution are required.
There are two possibilities for mounting the electrodes on the dissolution apparatus:
  • Electrodes are fixed on the covers of the vessels with special grippers
  • Electrodes are movable (could be lifted up and down) using sampling manifold.

pH controlling unit:

  • The relay-output unit serves for precise sparging of carbon dioxide or nitrogen in each vessel to control pH value and time-controlled by relays. Gas flow control valves enable the exact flow rate of the gas.
  • The pH monitoring unit consists of 6 or 8 high-quality pH electrodes with extended cables. It is also possible to use the ion-selective electrodes if the measurements of ionic concentration in an aqueous solution are required.

Software :

Individual settings :

The software runs on Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, 8, 10). The results are displayed in tabular and graphic form. The measuring cycle and measuring time limit can be set in a wide range. Single and simultaneous pH calibration is possible. The control set up enables the individual settings for the pH set point and control parameters for each channel.

Technical information :

Dimensions & Weight

300 mm x 200 mm x from 100 mm (LxWxH); 2 kg

12 V DC stabilized, 1200 mA, DC Power socket, 2.1 mm

Serial Data Transmission RS232, RS232 to USB Converter is also provided.

BNC sockets for pH-, ORP- and Ion-selective electrodes.

Sensor

pH: accepts all types including pH electrodes with built-in temperature sensor (Pt1000) or pH electrodes with separate PT1000 temperature sensors and pH microelectrodes

pH Range: 0.00 to 14.00. pH Resolution: 0.01 pH unit pH Accuracy: 0.01 pH unit

The Resolution is approximately 0.5% of the measured value, depending on the range.

The Accuracy is highest near the calibration point, about 0.5%. It is therefore recommended to calibrate close to the expected sample value.
