Absolutely NO method development

Just push the run arrow and your analysis will begin

ORACLE is the first ever rapid fat analyzer that requires absolutely no method development. At the touch of a button. ORACLE can analyze fat in any food sample with reference chemistry accuracy, without any prior knowledge of the sample matrix and composition.

Simply press the run arrow and in 30 seconds the ORACLE delivers an exceptionally accurate and precise fat result. It’s really that simple.

ORACLE is unique

Major breakthrough in NMR technology

  • Newly developed technique achieved in 2016
  • Technology completely isolates the detection of the proton signal in fat molecules from all other compositional proton sources (i.e. protein, carbohydrate, ash) making a universal fat analyzer possible
  • Alternative rapid techniques are unable to fully isolate fat from other components, which is why extensive calibration development is often required

Get an accurate analysis of any food sample in only 30 seconds

ORACLE was verified with over 30 Certified Reference Materials (CRM’s) sourced from Europe and USA. These trusted samples undergo extensive reference testing in numerous certified laboratories and provide a benchmark for any food testing methodology. The blue data in the graph shows the linearity between the CRM reference results and the ORACLE rapid fat results. Since CRM’s are limited in their available matrices, CEM also outsourced hundreds of samples to third party testing laboratories for wet chemical reference chemistry analysis. The red data in the chart shows the comparison between the outside lab reference results and ORACLE.

Versatility

Rapid & High Throughput Configurations

ORACLE is designed to operate in any lab setting, from process control in food production sites (at line and in lab) to certified testing laboratories. For customers seeking rapid moisture/solids analysis in addition to fat analysis, the ORACLE can be paired with the newly developed SMART 6 analyzer for moisture/solids results in ≤5 minutes. Alternatively, customers who run 50 or more samples per day may choose the stand-alone ORACLE high throughput solution where samples are dried in an oven overnight and subsequently run through the ORACLE in batch mode.

Rapid Fat & Moisture

ORACLE + SMART 6

Test time = < 5 minutes

Ideal for the following:

  • Customers requiring rapid fat and moisture analysis for process control
  • At-line food manufacturers
  • Quality control labs
  • Pilot plants

Testing process:

  • Dry sample in SMART 6 Moisture/Solids Analyzer in 2-4 minutes
  • Rapidly condition sample in QuikPrep
  • Run samples through ORACLE for exceptional fat analysis in < 30 seconds

High Throughput

ORACLE only

Fat analysis in < 30 seconds

Ideal for the following:

  • Laboratories testing 50+ samples per day
  • Certified testing laboratories
  • Research and development laboratories

Testing process:

  • Dry samples in ergonomic sample holders overnight in oven (convection or vacuum) with pads and film
  • Condition samples in CEM Precision Heater Block for 1 hour
  • Run samples through ORACLE for exceptional fat analysis in < 30 seconds

Accessories:

  • CEM Precision Heater Block- designed to tightly control temperature evenly across the entire block to 0.3°C.
  • Sample holders and trays for oven
  • Balance
  • Optional- automated robot

Get consistent results, anywhere in the world

Perfect for corporate integration

All ORACLES are manufactured and designed to produce the same results worldwide, making the system an ideal solution for corporations seeking to standardize rapid instrumentation. Alternative rapid fat analyzers are susceptible to differences in optics and system components, which prevents them from transferring methods between various locations. That means that each system requires unique method development, which ultimately translates to extensive time and capital. Plus, there’s no guarantee that the results will match.

Since ORACLE does not require method development and all the systems are the same, users can rest assured that all sites will get the same accurate, consistent results. What does that mean? A pet food distributor in Texas will get the same accurate ORACLE fat result as its parent manufacturer in California and the primary fish and meat suppliers in Australia and Japan.

ORACLE will fit right into your workflow

Easy to Use
Simply press the run arrow, enter the sample ID and mass, and get a fat result in less than 30 seconds.

No Chemist Required
Anyone can walk up to the system and understand operation in no time, which makes training new employees simple.

Versatile
ORACLE can be used in a laboratory or at-line on a production floor.

  • Integrates seamlessly with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System)
  • Ergonomic barcode scanner and stand are included with each system
  • Imports sample barcodes directly into sample ID for data storage and recall
  • Scans numerous barcode types including UPC, EAN, Code 39, ITF, QR Code, Datamatrix code, and many others…

Enjoy sophisticated software,
that’s easy to use

Select individual results for detailed analysis

Sort data, run QC tests, and run diagnostics

Advanced diagnostics ensure hardware is performing optimally and samples are running accurately

ORACLE comes with an easy to use, highly responsive, touchscreen interface. The software is designed so that anyone can walk up, press the run arrow, and complete an analysis…it’s really that simple.

For those users that want to delve deeper into the system functionality, the software includes advanced data processing capabilities, such as data sorting, system diagnostics, quality control tests, data and system export, LIMS connectivity, USB output, and many others.

ORACLE can also be paired with a balance to directly capture sample masses or if users prefer to weigh samples in a separate location, the software includes an import function. This is ideal for large testing facilities that run 100’s of samples per day and have dedicated sample weighing rooms. Simply insert the USB, select the import icon, and the full batch is automatically populated.

Additionally, ORACLE contains various user control settings (such as Administrator and Basic User), to provide customers the flexibility to choose which information (i.e. system settings, data) is available on a user level basis.

ORACLE FAQ

Less than 30 seconds.

Since ORACLE requires no method development there is no recalibration required as routine maintenance.

ORACLE is the first rapid fat analyzer that requires no method (channel) development. To date, this technology has never been available.

ORACLE utilizes a proprietary NMR process developed in 2016 to completely isolate the proton in fat from all other hydrogen sources.

The system was verified with over 30 certified reference samples (CRM’s) as well as 100’s of other samples that were cross-referenced against outside laboratory results.
